But I'm nervous about injections...
At Back to 30®, serving Greenville and surrounding areas, we use very small needles to inject BOTOX® Cosmetic. Most clients notice little to no discomfort during the procedure.
You may experience some minor redness, pain, or bruising shortly after the injections. However, these side effects should fade within a few days.
Wondering what BOTOX® Cosmetic can treat?
There are several things you can do in the weeks leading up to your BOTOX® treatment to reduce the chance of side effects. About two weeks before your session, stop taking any medications which can thin your blood, including:
If you need to manage pain, Tylenol is a good alternative to anti-inflammatories. You should also avoid drinking alcohol in the week before your appointment

You will first meet with one of our medical practitioners for a complimentary consultation to determine the areas you would like to target.
One of our highly trained medical practitioners will then inject the solution into the appropriate muscles using a very thin needle.

Most clients need little to no downtime but...
You can return to work and other normal daily activities immediately following the procedure. However, you should not lay down for at least an hour after the procedure or rub the treated area for at least 12 hours. Putting too much pressure on the treatment site can affect your results.
We also recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after your appointment.
Seeing your full results may take some time...
As with most injectable procedures, BOTOX® Cosmetic begins working immediately. Most clients notice a visible difference in the first 24 to 48 hours.
It may take up to two weeks before your final results are visible.
Results usually last up to four months on average and regular treatments are required to maintain your results.*

Does BOTOX® have side effects?
Temporary bruising at the injection sites is the most common side effect of treatment with botulinum toxin.
While rare, some clients do report headaches after BOTOX®. These typically end within 24 to 48 hours.
Since botulinum toxin paralyzes muscles, there is a very small chance of developing a drooping eyelid. This issue typically ends within three weeks.
You could develop some flu-like sensations after your appointment, including fatigue, upset stomach, or mild nausea.
